Selection Suggestions

  • Choose the GE DS3828BH9GR when you need 7–9 outputs in harsh environments (offshore, marine, desert, mobile) and 12-bit resolution is acceptable. It is the most cost-effective ruggedized high-density solution.

  • If 14-bit resolution or faster update (500Hz) is required, select the DS3828BH5AR (5 channels) instead — the GE DS3828BH9GR is limited to 12-bit and 250Hz.

  • Verify actuator load is ≤500Ω. For loads >500Ω, use the DS3828BH5AR (supports 750Ω) or the DS3828BH3AH (supports 2kΩ).

  • For SIL 2 applications, do not use the GE DS3828BH9GR — select the DS3828BH3A or DS3828BH3AH instead.

Precautions
