Suffix “G2A”: Basic accuracy (0.12%) + G2 wiring configuration + basic diagnostics (open/short only) + enhanced cold-junction compensation + standard conformal coating
Key Features
Basic accuracy – ±0.12% for general-purpose temperature monitoring
Enhanced cold-junction compensation – better linearization across ambient variations than standard G2 variants
G2-specific wiring configuration – unique channel-to-terminal mapping matching specific GE cabinet wiring standards; direct drop-in for G2-configured systems
Basic self-diagnostics – open-circuit and short-circuit detection per channel
Standard sampling – 5 Hz for typical turbine monitoring applications
Simple swap – no firmware changes required in most Mark V systems
LED status per channel + board health
Standard conformal coating for moisture/dust resistance
Backward compatible with Mark V and Mark VIe (hot-swap only on VIe Rev D+)
Applications
Legacy gas turbine retrofits with G2 wiring – where existing field wiring uses G2 terminal assignments and basic accuracy with enhanced compensation is required
Steam turbine bearing monitoring in G2 cabinets – standard protection with improved ambient stability
Compressor inlet and discharge temperature in G2-configured systems – routine monitoring with enhanced compensation
HRSG temperature monitoring with G2 wiring – where basic accuracy and improved stability are sufficient
Facilities with G2-standard cabinets requiring enhanced cold-junction performance

Selection Tips
Choose the DS200TCRAG2A only if your cabinet uses G2 wiring configuration and you require basic accuracy with enhanced cold-junction compensation – a cost-effective solution for G2 systems needing improved ambient stability
For G2 systems with standard compensation, consider DS200TCRAG2 (if available)
For G2 systems with higher accuracy (±0.08%) and faster sampling (10 Hz), upgrade to the DS200TCQAG2A series (with diagnostics) or DS200TCEAG2B (without diagnostics)
For G1 systems requiring similar features, use DS200TCRAG1A
If you are rewiring the cabinet, consider converting to G1 for broader board availability
Verify existing wiring pinout against G2 standard – using the wrong terminal block or miswiring will scramble channel readings
Source refurbished units with G2 pinout verification and cold-junction compensation validation
Precautions
ESD sensitive – use wrist strap
Power down for Mark V removal (no hot-swap)
Torque terminals to 0.5 N·m max
Do not exceed -25°C to +60°C operating range
Pinout critical – G2 mapping differs from G1; verify cabinet wiring before installation
Calibrate every 24 months – accuracy and compensation depend on valid calibration
Ground shields only at the board end
Verify thermocouple type – optimized for J/K (T/E reduces accuracy to ±0.20%)
Label clearly – mark board and slot as “TCRAG2A – ENH CJC/G2” to ensure proper handling and prevent future miswiring with G1 boards
Do not mix G1 and G2 boards without verifying terminal block compatibility in the same rack
