Suffix “G2AED”: High accuracy + advanced diagnostics (drift, degradation, sense-lead) + E2 wiring + enhanced cold-junction compensation + “ED” premium coating (high-grade urethane or silicone blend offering excellent moisture barrier, good-to-high chemical resistance, and moderate solvent resistance – comparable to “EC” or “DE” grades)
Key Features
High accuracy – ±0.08% for critical temperature monitoring
Advanced diagnostics – drift monitoring, degradation prediction, sense-lead integrity, and open/short detection
Enhanced cold-junction compensation – better linearization across ambient variations
“ED” premium coating – excellent moisture resistance, good-to-high chemical protection, and moderate solvent resistance; suitable for harsh environments
Faster sampling – 10 Hz for responsive monitoring
E2-specific wiring configuration – unique channel-to-terminal mapping for E2-configured systems; direct fit for E2 cabinets
Simple swap – no firmware changes required in most Mark V systems
LED status per channel + board health with diagnostic indicators
Backward compatible with Mark V and Mark VIe (hot-swap only on VIe Rev D+)
Applications
Chemical processing plants with E2 wiring – premium coating protects against solvents and chemicals while diagnostics ensure reliability
Coastal power plants with heavy salt spray – excellent moisture barrier with enhanced performance
Paper and pulp mills – harsh chemical environments with humidity
Gas turbine EGT monitoring in corrosive environments with E2 cabinets – high accuracy with predictive diagnostics and environmental protection
Compressor monitoring in chemically aggressive areas with E2 configuration – noise rejection with environmental protection

Selection Tips
Choose the DS200TCQEG2AED only if your cabinet uses E2 wiring configuration and you need high accuracy (±0.08%), advanced diagnostics, enhanced cold-junction compensation, and premium coating protection – ideal for chemically aggressive E2 environments requiring predictive maintenance
For E2 systems with the same features but standard coating, consider DS200TCQEG2A (less protection)
For severe chemical/corrosion exposure, upgrade to DS200TCQEG2AJE (military-grade) or DS200TCQEG2ATF (PTFE) if available
For extended temperature (70°C) with similar features, consider DS200TCQEG2BED (if available)
If you are rewiring the cabinet, consider converting to G1 for broader board availability
Verify existing wiring pinout against E2 standard – using the wrong terminal block or miswiring will scramble channel readings
Source refurbished units with E2 pinout verification, coating inspection, and diagnostic test validation
Precautions
ESD sensitive – use wrist strap
Power down for Mark V removal (no hot-swap)
Torque terminals to 0.5 N·m max
Do not exceed -30°C to +65°C operating range – exceeding 65°C reduces component life
Pinout critical – E2 mapping differs from G1/G2/C1; verify cabinet wiring before installation
Avoid damaging the coating – scratches compromise protection
Use isopropyl alcohol only for cleaning – “ED” coating resists many solvents but avoid acetone/MEK; confirm compatibility with GE documentation
Calibrate every 24 months – diagnostics, enhanced accuracy, and cold-junction compensation depend on a valid baseline calibration
Ground shields only at the board end
Verify thermocouple type – optimized for J/K (T/E reduces accuracy to ±0.15%)
Monitor diagnostic logs – drift warnings indicate sensor aging; plan proactive replacement
Label clearly – mark board and slot as “TCQEG2AED – DIAG/ENH CJC/E2/ED COAT” to ensure proper handling and prevent future miswiring with G1/G2/C1 boards
Do not mix E2, E1, C1, G1, and G2 boards without verifying terminal block compatibility in the same rack
