Description
Technical Parameters
Manufacturer: GE
Series: Mark V / Mark VIe
Channels: 16 differential
Input Range: -10 mV to +100 mV (Type J/K/T/E)
Cold Junction: Single onboard standard sensor
Isolation: 1500V AC
Accuracy: ±0.12% at 25°C, ±0.20% across full temperature range
Sampling: 5 Hz sequential
Temp Range: -25°C to +65°C (operating) – wider upper limit vs standard G1 (60°C), -40°C to +85°C (storage)
Mounting: VME rack
Suffix “G1B”: Basic accuracy (0.12%) + G1 wiring + extended upper temperature limit (65°C) + basic diagnostics (open/short only) + fixed firmware
Key Features
Standard accuracy – ±0.12% for general-purpose temperature monitoring
Extended upper temperature limit – operates up to 65°C (vs 60°C on standard G1), suitable for cabinets with limited cooling
G1 wiring configuration – standard channel-to-terminal mapping matching most GE cabinets
Basic self-diagnostics – open-circuit and short-circuit detection per channel
Simple swap – no firmware changes required in most Mark V systems
LED status per channel + board health
Standard conformal coating for moisture/dust resistance
Backward compatible with Mark V and Mark VIe (hot-swap only on VIe Rev D+)
Applications
Cabinets with marginal cooling – where ambient temperatures may reach 60-65°C
Gas turbine exhaust monitoring in hot climates – basic accuracy with extended temperature tolerance
Steam turbine bearing monitoring in poorly ventilated areas – where standard boards may be near their limit
Compressor stations in desert environments – high ambient temperatures
Retrofit for standard G1 boards – drop-in replacement with 5°C higher temperature margin

Selection Tips
Choose the DS200TCEBG1B if you need basic accuracy in a G1 cabinet with operating temperatures up to 65°C – a cost-effective solution for hotter environments
For standard environments (≤60°C), the DS200TCEBG1 is more economical
For higher accuracy (±0.08%) with the same temperature range, upgrade to the DS200TCEAG1B
For extreme temperatures (-40°C to +70°C), consider DS200TCEAG1BJE (with military-grade coating) or DS200TCEAG1BTF (with PTFE coating)
For G2 cabinets, choose DS200TCEBG2B

Precautions
ESD sensitive – use wrist strap
Power down for Mark V removal (no hot-swap)
Torque terminals to 0.5 N·m max
Do not exceed -25°C to +65°C operating range – exceeding 65°C reduces component life
Calibrate every 24 months – accuracy spec depends on valid calibration
Ground shields only at the board end
Verify thermocouple type – hardware optimized for J/K (T/E reduces accuracy to ±0.20%)
Label clearly – mark board and slot as “G1B – EXTENDED TEMP” to distinguish from standard 60°C boards
Monitor cabinet temperature – if consistently near 65°C, consider improving cooling or upgrading to a higher-temperature variant
