Technical Parameters
Manufacturer: GE
Series: Mark V / Mark VIe
Channels: 16 differential
Input Range: -10 mV to +100 mV (Type J/K/T/E)
Cold Junction: Single onboard sensor, 4-wire compensation with improved thermal isolation
Isolation: 1500V AC
Accuracy: ±0.10% at 25°C, ±0.15% across full temperature range
Sampling: 5 Hz sequential
Temp Range: -40°C to +70°C (operating), -55°C to +90°C (storage)
Mounting: VME rack
Suffix “HE”: High-grade diagnostics + extended-temperature components + enhanced conformal coating (maximum corrosion protection, formulated for extreme chemical resistance)
Key Features
4-wire sensing cancels lead resistance for stable readings over long distances up to 300 meters
High-grade diagnostics – drift monitoring, degradation prediction, calibration verification, and sense-lead integrity check
Maximum corrosion protection – heavy-duty triple-layer high-temperature coating specifically formulated for extreme H₂S, salt spray, ammonia, and chemical resistance (superior to HD suffix)
Extended temperature range – operates from -40°C to +70°C for arctic, desert, or unheated cabinets
Improved accuracy (±0.10% at 25°C) with stable thermal performance across extremes
Premium component selection – 105°C-rated electrolytic capacitors, extended-temp ICs, and enhanced thermal vias
Simple swap – no firmware changes required in most Mark V systems
LED status per channel + board health, with extended-temp LEDs
Backward compatible with Mark V and Mark VIe (hot-swap only on VIe Rev D+)
Applications
Offshore oil and gas platforms – long sensor runs with severe salt-spray and H₂S exposure
Sour gas processing plants – thermocouples in high-H₂S environments where standard coatings fail
Chemical refineries and petrochemical facilities – aggressive chemical atmospheres with ammonia and chlorine compounds
Coastal power plants – salt-laden air with extreme temperature swings
Arctic and desert installations – combined extreme temperature and corrosion challenges
Marine turbine installations – engine rooms with high humidity, salt, and chemical exposure

Selection Tips
Choose the DS200TCDAH1BHE if you need 4-wire long-distance monitoring with both extreme temperatures and maximum corrosion protection (offshore, sour gas, chemical plants)
For extreme temperature without severe corrosion, the DS200TCDAH1BHD may suffice
For corrosion without extreme temperature, consider the DS200TCDAG1BCB (2-wire, enhanced coating)
For standard environments, the basic DS200TCDAH1B is more economical
Verify existing wiring is 4-wire – 2-wire systems require new cables
Use correct H-series terminal blocks
Source refurbished units with coating inspection report and full environmental test verification
Precautions
ESD sensitive – use wrist strap; coating does not eliminate ESD risk
Power down for Mark V removal (no hot-swap)
Torque terminals to 0.5 N·m max
Do not exceed -40°C to +70°C operating range
Avoid damaging the coating – do not scrape, use aggressive solvents, or flex the board
Calibrate every 24 months at expected operating temperature
Inspect coating for bubbles, delamination, or damage before installation
Ground shields only at the board end
Label cables clearly as “4-wire H-series HE”
Store spares at 15°C–35°C, 40%–60% RH; avoid UV exposure
